About the Mountain

Mount Shasta is part of the Cascade Range and rises to 14,162 feet (4,317 m). The mountain has been revered as one of the most sacred places of power by numerous native tribes for thousands of years

Accommodations & Dinning

The retreat is held at a beautiful campground on the lower slopes of the mountain. Well-manicured lawns and trees create a relaxing setting and at night, the star-filled sky makes for good dreams. Our cooks prepare fresh vegetarian meals for us. Many dishes are prepared on wood-burning stoves, bringing alive the various flavors of each recipe.


Camping

Most participants choose to camp in this beautiful location. For campers, there is a room to keep luggage and other personal items.


Back to nature in comfort

Men's and Women's bath houses offer hot showers and a laundry room, complete with washers and dryers.


The Cabins

There are 2 cabins available in the campground, which offer an alternative to camping for those who would rather sleep indoors.


The Pond Cabin

The Pond Cabin offers a little sanctuary along the pond, which the neighboring ospreys fish in.


The Meadow Cabin

On the porch of the Meadow Cabin, Mt Shasta rises up from the hills in the foreground.

There are a number of nearby hotels and Inns available within 10 minutes of the campground. We can help arrange reservations upon registration.

Location of the Retreat

The Retreat is held on the lower slopes of the mountain, about a 6-hour drive from San Francisco, CA. Detailed directions will be provided upon registration.


Flight Arrangements

If you plan on flying, the nearest airport is in Redding, CA, about a 2-hour drive from the retreat. San Francisco and San Jose airports are other options as well.
